Ordering a beginning set of equipment
Below is a list of basic ordering options. Sizes for jackets and masks may vary depending on what brand of equipment is being ordered. Cotton jackets will usually shrink and needs to be considered when determining the proper size. The best way to determine correct sizing is consult the charts that each vendor provides on their web site. If there’s still a question it’s best to contact customer service and have them walk through the fitting process with you.
Starter set options for FOIL fencing:

Mask: XS / S / M / L / XL
Gender: M / F
Hand: L / R
Jacket size:
Jacket type: back zip / front zip
Glove: XS / S / M / L / XL
Grip: The type you want is a French grip
Blade size: The size you want is a #5 (standard)

Ordering a set of electric equipment
Below is a list of basic ordering options. The lamé should be sized so that it is snug to the body while allowing for good range of motion. If there’s still a question it’s best to contact customer service and have them walk through the fitting process with you.

Grip: French
Gender: M / F
Body cord: 2-prong
Lamé: (specify left or right hand and chest size) ______
Point: French (or vendor default)
